Welcome to the personal portal that hopes to inspire and facilitate the promotion and production of “do it yourself” documentary screenings and festivals. Over the past few years, filmmakers have had no choice but to increasingly take the initiative in creating opportunities to show their work. Hopefully, as you navigate this site you’ll find a connection to your interest in this new enterprise. |

In addition to his passion for promoting documentary films with an activist agenda, Martin returned to the production fray in 2007 and 2008 with two largescale, public events that celebrated part of his career history in Canada.
“The Summer of Love” was a five hour, free, family festival of music, dance, video, memorabilia and street performance set in Toronto’s Yorkville district, and a year later, “The Queen Street Celebration” followed same dynamic format. Both were created and produced as part of the ten day Luminato Festival of Arts & Creativity. To see more click on Events. http://www.luminato.com

Since he passed his lymphoma “sell-by” date, Martin Robertson doubled up on his general health and fitness programme intent on setting a personal record as the longest -ever mantle cell cancer survivor! Part of this highly individual campaign resulted in election as the poster boy for the “Xtreme” Survivor programme for the gym company pf the same name in Toronto and the resulting feature in local newspapers. (see below)
Another key component was to switch to a cancer fighting (ie immune building) nutritional programme with the help of his “adopted” goddaughter and protégé, Julie Daniluk, chief nutritionist for the “Big Carrot” health food supermarket.
Martin has subsequently acted as advisor and coach on Julie’s E-Book “Meals That Heal Inflammation” which is available via the website http://meals-that-heal.com
Look out for her as one of the presenters on the W Network TV show “ The Healthy Gourmet” in 2009.
